The purpose of the role is to: Drive the implementation of RBC across the company
Knowledge and Experience:
This is a highly technical role requiring strong analytical skills and being able to communicate complex matters to senior management in a clear manner. The incumbent will need a good understanding of a wide range of products, including with-profits as well as having exposure to Economic Capital and Capital management. A key component of the role is to influence and lead in the development of best practice and hence the candidate will require strong influencing and presentation skills.
Education / Relevant Experience / Other Qualifications:
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of a range of product types
Good knowledge of Economic Capital calculation principles and Solvency II
Knowledge of Stochastic modelling techniques
Awareness of changes in regulatory environment
Experience:
The job holder will be a qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent) with post qualification experience
Experience in financial reporting and product development required
Experience in working in a Group or Regional role would be an advantage.
Skills:
Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence, through good communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical, planning and report writing essential
Common sense, commercial judgment and strategic awareness
Understands and interprets complex business requirements and technical matters and present issues in a straight forward manner.
